Welcome to the Va Va Voom! website! We are a collective of 5 highly trained and professional musicians. Music is not just what we do, it is what we love.

With our collective CV’s we can boast several Honors Bachelors Degrees in Music, a Masters in Composition, and years of Classical, Jazz and Pop training.

Even more important is the many years that each of us have spent doing what we do best, playing great music.

But enough about us….

We understand that this is about you.

We don’t just GUARANTEE a highly polished standard of music. Our real focus is interacting with YOU & YOUR WEDDING GUESTS!

We strive to put on a show that will bring the FUN, LIFE and ENERGY to your special night that you deserve.

Our goal is to have that dance floor hopping all night long, and to create a night people will be reminiscing about for years to come.

And honestly, we love doing it!.

 FAQ’S

  • “How Many people in the band? Will they all be there on the night?’’

— There are 5 of us, and two of us play Sax and Trumpet as well as our other instruments. All of us will all be there on the night. :)

  • “What music do you play?’’

— We have a very carefully thought out set. It takes you from the 40's all the way up to the newest release. We play a rigorously rehearsed medley style, which means we almost never stop throughout the set, so neither will you.

  • “What sets you apart from every other band...?’’

— We could say it's our decades of professional training, or our 5 part harmonies, or even our state of the art gear that each of us have invested in. But in our experience, as important as all that is, it really is the fun we have interacting with the crowd. We absolutely will not allow the floor to be empty, and we will be right out there with you and your guests, having as much fun as anyone else. It really is the best job ever!

  • “There are quite a few elderly people at the wedding. Will they be catered for?’’

— Absolutely. We have found that twists, jives and shakes get people of every age up and dancing. If that's not enough we also have a Waltz Medley Section that always goes down beautifully!

  • “Can we pick the music?’’

— Of course we will learn whatever your first dance request is. Due to the sheer volume of gigs we play, however, we would never be able to learn a new set of songs for every gig. That said, our set is tried and tested and constantly updated with the songs we know will each get people dancing. No fillers here, every song we picked is rocking!

  • “How long do you play for?’’

— Our play time spans around 2.5 hrs, with a short break for tea and coffee. We usually start between 9:30-10:00pm

  • “Any other Advice on choosing the best band…?’’

— Whittle it down to 3 or 4 bands from the myriad advertised. Then go to see them. It is impossible to capture the energy a band creates through media or recordings. Go see how the bands work the crowd, what energy they have. Then, after all is said and done, make the right choice and pick us! :)
